WARDOGS Building & FOB Guides Hub

WARDOGS building guides: FOB placement and construction, base layouts with walls and gates, drill rigs, mortars, anti-air and the Support XP path for builders.

Last updated

Building is WARDOGS's answer to "what makes this different from other warfare shooters?" Factions construct forward operating bases, walls, gates, drill rigs, mortars and anti-air emplacements that turn the Control Zone into a siege map. This hub collects the wiki's building coverage.

The two pages in this section

  • FOB building guide: what a Forward Operating Base is, where to place one, build order, and the tower-fuel connection that powers the endgame drill.
  • Base building guide: the construction system itself — tools, materials, high-XP structures, and the layouts community builders actually use.

Why building matters beyond fortification

Construction is the game's safest income and its most useful Support leveling track at the same time: every completed structure pays cash plus Support XP, and the Steam guide "How to Level Support FAST" argues the right structures (drill rigs, mortars) help your faction while they level you. On the money side, PCGamesN names base building the top method for players who are not ready to fight.

The community's favorite controversy

Building is also where WARDOGS arguments live: drill placement balance, the C-RAM versus Talon 9K SAM debate, and whether mortar spam ruins base design all run hot on Reddit. The wiki presents the community positions with sources and flags balance as moving during Early Access — Patch 0.1 and 0.11 both shipped adjustments in September 2026.
