Where should a new player start?

Start with the WARDOGS beginner guide. It walks you through your first 100-player match: choosing among the Lonestar, Valkyra and Manticore factions, buying your first cheap loadout with the $10,000 starting cash, and staying alive long enough to score points inside the Control Zone. When you want to sharpen your play, continue with WARDOGS tips and tricks, which collects the habits experienced players wish they had known earlier — from packing loose ammo to anchoring the Hot Zone on a budget kit.

How fresh is this information?

WARDOGS launched into Steam Early Access on September 10, 2026 and is being patched weekly — Patch 0.11 alone reworked the server browser on September 14. Every article shows its last-updated date and is written against a specific patch. Where a value (like exact XP amounts or weapon pricing) comes from a single source or predates Season 1, the article says so instead of guessing.
