WARDOGS Leveling Guide — XP Per Action$

Fastest ways to level in WARDOGS: XP per action table, Season 1 requirements, career unlocks and the fastest route for every class. Community-tested.

How do you level fast in WARDOGS? The honest answer starts with a caveat: BULKHEAD publishes no official XP table, and Season 1 explicitly rewrote the launch XP curve. What follows is the community-tested consensus collected by Overgear's leveling guide and MetaForge's progression tools — useful as a map, but check a live number before you plan an evening around it.

Single-source data

These values appear in Overgear's community-tested table and MetaForge's progression tool notes, but no official source confirms them. Server population also reportedly scales XP — full rewards from around 60 players per server (unverified).

Season 1 requirements

Community tables put Season 1 level 20 at roughly 250,000 cumulative role XP, and levels 15–20 cost more than the entire 1–15 grind combined (about 140,000 XP). BULKHEAD has said it expects median players to reach level 20 in 20–25 hours. The career ladder visible in unlock tables runs to level 150 — with notable checkpoints at level 30 (Level 2 armor), 60 (Level 3 armor), 90 (artillery tank) and 100 (Level 4 armor).

Fastest route per class

  • Assault: stay inside the Control Zone and fight. Rifle kills are the densest reliable XP in the game; the free rifles and AK74 keep the cost per kill near zero.
  • Medic: glue yourself to the densest objective fight. Bandage after every engagement, revive on cooldown, and let the defibrillator pay for itself once unlocked.
  • Recon: spotting pays when sightlines are bad; reposition instead of static camping so every fight has a first shot.
  • Support: the Steam guide "How to Level Support FAST" makes the key point — build high-XP structures (drill rigs, mortars) at useful locations instead of spamming random walls. It also levels Medic and Recon alongside, since you are already near the fight. Building income is covered in the make money guide.
  • Driver: ground transport beats air transport by 10x per passenger, and driving the spawn vehicle into the zone is a 500 XP spike. Read the vehicle list for unlock order.
  • Pilot: air passenger delivery pays almost nothing (25 XP), so level Pilot by flying with purpose — full-squad insertions to objectives, then hunting air kills worth 250 each.

Habits that level every track

Spread cheap early levels across tracks (first levels cost little), play one role per life so XP never splits, and remember that levels and cash reset each season while Gold Bars persist. For the money side of unlocks, see make money; for guns that level a specific line, see the classes overview.
